Ana Sawti – Music for community empowerment

Tajalla for Music and Arts cooperates with local partner organisations in communities outside of the capital Amman to set up music corners in order to introduce children to singing and music lessons. Up to 120 children benefit from singing lessons and participate in local children’s choirs. In this way, they further develop important life skills, such as self-confidence, self-expression, mutual respect and teamwork.
In addition, local music teachers receive further training and participate in the music lessons. Together with the organisations hosting the music corners, the teachers take responsibility for the project on site and ensure these creative activities continue to be made available to children in the community.
