500 people with mental disabilities have access to inclusive artistic, cultural and sporting activities that enable them to enjoy comprehensive social participation. They take part in activities such as dance, music, photography and even cooking courses.
Raising the community awareness in seven cities and strengthening organisations that support people with mental disabilities contributes towards the successful implementation of the activities.
A fund is being created to support organisations that campaign for people with mental disabilities and implement these kind of creative initiatives. The fund will also be used to promote this model in other regions and inspire others to replicate it.
The project also promotes best practices and exchange between the relevant stakeholders.
