Arts and culture entrepreneurship

While the arts and culture scene in the Arab world is vibrant and dynamic, long-term sustainability remains a challenge. The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture aims to strengthen the sustainability of independent arts and cultural institutions by focusing on entrepreneurial thinking and innovation. Through ongoing mentoring, workshops and interaction with both the public and private sectors, 24 selected institutions are gaining the valuable entrepreneurial skills needed to stay relevant and ensure continuity in today’s artistic and cultural climate.
The project also reaches out to a wider audience through an online platform that has been established to gather and disseminate best practices and lessons learnt in the areas of entrepreneurial thinking, innovation and advocacy. The platform features training materials, case studies, podcasts and livestreaming of expert talks, all of which are accessible for artists in the Arab world and beyond.
