Educational manufactory in rural areas

“Bildungsmanufaktur” (educational manufactory) are creative workshops with vocational orientation developed by S 27 in Berlin: Young people work under the guidance of artists, craftspeople and social workers for several months in various courses (wood, metal, glass, etc.) and build upcycled design objects. The creative activity strengthens their self-efficacy and helps them to acquire important future skills as well as practical craft skills.
This project transfers the “educational manufactory” format to the rural area of Brandenburg. It is implemented by the newly founded organisation Glashaus Prenzlau with 20 trainees per year and adapted to local conditions. S 27 accompanies this process as an advisor.
