ClairLune II & Atelier Satellite

ClairLune II is the second project of the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève, which has already successfully implemented music workshops for young people in the closed youth facility La Clairière in Geneva. Here, the youth took part in weekly participatory workshops on music and music history. This engagement with music improved the personal well-being of the young people and had a positive effect on the culture within the institution.

The aim of this second project is to both reinforce the established cooperation between the partner and La Clairière and to secure the financial sustainability of the activities. The offer will also be expanded to include a new element that aims to assist the young people in their return to everyday life.

Atelier Satellite is oriented towards music-loving young people who are due to leave La Clairière or have already left the institution. As part of these reintegration measures, the young people attend the music academy on an independent basis, where they take part in weekly music workshops. Every year, the artistic output is presented at a summer concert. Throughout, the young people discover new skills, gain positive life experiences and are able to develop their personalities.
