Clowning for Prosperity

«Children breath more calmly and their muscles are more relaxed. They are more awake, more energetic, have more appetite and express the necessity of getting out of bed. And they smile, laugh and make jokes». These are just a few observations on the impact of healthcare clowning on hospitalised children and elderly people.

By developing healthcare clowning as a profession that enables performing artists to become economically self-sufficient, «Clowning for Prosperity» works towards the sustained achievement of the above-mentioned positive impacts. «RED NOSES Palestine» is aiming to recruit 30 performing artists as freelancers, who will work within the framework of a long-term relationship with the organisation. As part of the provided professional training modules, these 30 performing artists will improve their capacities and skills towards eventual collaboration in other projects and productions. In turn, this will open up further economic opportunities. Moreover, the project is challenging the partner organisation to explore earned income modalities that will support the long-term sustainability of these vital services.
