Empowering Entrepreneurship Instruments (doroob)

doroob is a support programme for enhancing socially driven business ideas of youth. Up to 1’100 youth in Egypt will be supported in developing their entrepreneurial ideas from the early stage. A subset will be accompanied all the way till growth support, resulting in the establishment of up to 45 new startups. The programme primarily addresses youth who have graduated or are currently enrolled in a university programme and who have innovative ideas in the agri-business, tourism and health sectors. Further, particular attention will be paid to gender and disability inclusion.

This project builds on a previous collaboration with enpact and focuses on expanding the support to entrepreneurs in sectors that were identified to be the most relevant in responding to the country’s priorities, emerging development challenges and business opportunities as well as on fostering partnerships with academic institutions and entrepreneurship ecosystem stakeholders to achieve social impact and high return on investment.
