Everyday for Future

The weekly “Fridays for Future” protests have led to the emergence of a global youth movement that is dealing critically with climate change and demanding ecologically sustainable concepts from policy-makers. Through a peer-to-peer process for and with young people from special- and secondary schools in Dresden, this project enables young people to develop new methodological concepts and formats for the creative communication of values relating to ecological sustainability. In this way, “Everyday for Future” makes cultural education on topics of sustainable development accessible to a broader group of young people and creates active spaces for participation. A permanent youth group in the association is being established and empowered to develop and implement their own projects. Alongside, Sukuma arts e.V. is clarifying the potential for the founding of a social enterprise.
