Supported internships in the framework of social aid, with a contractually regu-lated transfer into training

The project is one of three selected by Drosos Foundation as part of the ‘Tender for Labour Market Integration’. The offering adopts an innovative approach by closing a current gap in the system for supporting young unemployed adults.
The aim of the project is the introduction of supported internships as a principal offering within the framework of social aid in the cantons of Lucerne, Obwalden and Nidwalden. In turn, the project aims at the establishment of a long-term cooperation between social aid and business. Thereby, the target group will be sustainably integrated into the world of employment and no longer dependent on financial support from the public sector. A noteworthy new aspect is the contractually regulated transfer into training, subject to participant suitability. Also new is the approach of co-financing supported internships with companies.
