From Farm to Export

Through a strong partnership approach with state agencies and the private sector, up to 1000 small farmers are being integrated into the export supply chain for 3 crops identified as a priority by the Egyptian government: strawberries, guavas and peppers. The farmers will be trained in good agricultural practices and export certification procedures and establish market links with exporters. In addition, tasks which appeal to young people such as marketing and information and communication technologies, are used for knowledge transfer.
