Hors-Lits – Cultural management training

This project aims to develop the artistic and cultural sector in Tunisia by training a new generation of cultural managers and by promoting young emerging artists, with a view to developing artistic and cultural initiatives at a national level.
120 young people from the country’s 24 governorates will be trained in this line of work. The training programme will be divided into two phases. Firstly, participants are taught the fundamentals of cultural management (drafting documents to get new projects started, drawing up a budget, public speaking, a practical case including the organisation of a festival in their governorate). Secondly, they receive assistance to find employment (feedback on their progress, development of a business plan, putting them in contact with professional institutions for potential job placements).
The residents of all the governorates, even those in the most remote locations, will have the opportunity to attend these festivals for free and to experience contemporary art, often for the first time. Young artists will be able to showcase their talent through a platform designed to exhibit their creations to the largest possible audience.
