Integration of disadvantaged youth in the labour market

Many young people face great challenges in finding employment. This project accompanies 160 young people from the Al Za’ateri refugee camp for one year and helps them to find a job. In creative and work-oriented workshops, the young people have an opportunity to reinforce their self-confidence, capacity for teamwork and professional skills. Thereby, they learn how to properly apply for jobs as well as how to think and act entrepreneurially, find employment or even start their own micro-enterprise.
Scholarship places are offered for ambitious young people, and particularly promising business ideas are supported with a small amount of initial capital. To fulfill these aims, the project partners work closely alongside local companies that are financially involved in the initiative and thus contribute to the effective anchoring of the project.
