Inclusion of Young People with Disabilities in the Labour Market through IT

Without specific training and access to information, people with disabilities have difficulty addressing their exclusion from employment in a context that has already proven to be challenging for those without disabilities. Recognising that employment is critically important for all citizens to accomplish their life goals, secure their future and feel valued and included, the project aims to boost the active participation of people with disabilities in the workforce. By providing technological skills as well as guidance & orientation services, the project provides up to 120 individuals with the necessary skills, information and support to be economically active. It connects them with freelance opportunities for income generation or engages the private sector to employ them as freelancers or employees. In addition, the partner is developing specific curricula to train people with disabilities in basic digital and media literacy skills and is further developing its existing services and policies to become an inclusive service provider in the long-term.
