Landeinwärts 2.0

The successful Landeinwärts project will be continued! The first German “housing first” project continues to provide formerly homeless young people with a place to live in the former Jamlitz railway station. The railway station not only stands out for its warm educational support but also for the excellent integration of its community of residents within the village community of Jamlitz and Lieberose. This also includes the open-house principle and its educational facility Bildungsstätte Hans-Delbrück-Haus.
Many former residents have therefore settled in the region. The new relationships that have been formed among one another and with local residents in the region last beyond the stay at the station. In future, a centre managed by the cooperative in the nearby small town of Lieberose will offer a new contact point for the network and will provide consistent follow-up support. In addition, the station’s residents are actively involved in the village community of Jamlitz-Lieberose and together with the villagers they initiate regional development processes, such as setting up a village shop and similar projects.
