Learning through the Community

Around 100 children in Behbet and surrounding villages in rural Giza look forward to having access to creative, cultural and recreational skills in a safe and secure environment. The local partner Man Ahyaha is including sports as an important way for girls and boys to channel their energy, thereby contributing to improve their mental and physical health. This approach involves the participation of community members from design to implementation, aiming at local ownership and sustainability. Local youth facilitators are trained to lead all activities, thereby sowing the seeds of future development in the target village and beyond.
