Lighthouse project – Orchestra reaches out to young people

Over recent years, the Brandenburg State Orchestra has become an innovative orchestra with an international reputation. It acts like a musical beacon, opening itself up to regional audiences and involving young people in its work. The partner organisation’s promotional activities bring culture to young people and motivate them to become personally involved.
Each year, 300 children and young people participate in the development and performance of major plays, dance and music compositions. These productions help to improve the participants’ creative abilities and foster personal development.
The Brandenburg State Orchestra continues to expand the lighthouse role of its educational work within the region. Drosos Foundation is helping to ensure that working with children and young people remains an integral part of the orchestra’s mission.
