Masahati (My Space)

To enhance the life skills, intellectual growth and innovation ability of children and youth at risk, I Learn has identified two partner CBOs that will assist in the establishment of safe spaces, one in Jerash and one in the Jordan Valley. Over a duration of three years, 600 children and youth will be encouraged to express themselves creatively through participation in the interactive learning programmes provided by these spaces. Thereby, they will cover four subjects: Arts and Theatre, English, Programming and Life Skills. Additionally, 180 youth volunteers will be trained and embedded in the new spaces to ensure strong community involvement, sustainability of activities and outreach to parents.

In addition to this community engagement, I Learn will also be striving to introduce the I Learn curriculum into schools. The partner plans to train 100 teachers from public and UNRWA schools in the use of the curriculum in their arts and civic education teaching, with the aim of creating a more supportive school environment that takes into consideration the needs of vulnerable children.
