Museum Lab

The Museum Lab project provides training in cultural mediation to 30 young graduates who have not been able to secure employment in the heritage sector. It teaches these young people innovative techniques for visual and sound animation. In return, they have the opportunity to help increase the appeal of museums and archaeological sites in five regions throughout Tunisia: Kef (North-West), Djerba (South-East), Sousse (Central East), Kélibia (North East) and Beja (Centre).

This training scheme allows young graduates gain new skills in the field of heritage as they help breathe new life into museums and archaeological sites through the use of information and communication technologies. It is an innovating project that creates an unprecedented link between academic training and the enhancement of Tunisia’s archaeological and museum heritage through new technologies.
