Open Start-up Tunisia is a pre-incubation project set up in response to local needs for more entrepreneurship programmes and to support Tunisian youth. Its mission is to develop a strong entrepreneurial culture by bringing together 1,500 high-potential students from different disciplines across several Tunisian universities with 30 professors who teach entrepreneurship. They then team up with entrepreneurs in the ecosystem to provide support from peers, share best practices and exchange know-how.
A strategic partnership with Columbia University in the United States and local partnerships, such as with Africinvest in particular, provide the project with the necessary national and international entrepreneurial expertise. Open Start-up Tunisia aims to improve and develop the deal flow of ideas and business projects, which is currently running dry in Tunisia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
