e-Lancer

Upon the completion of a prior online freelancing pilot project, skilled Palestinian youth have shown a sharp increase in awareness of and enthusiasm about online freelancing. They have also gained skills in bidding for and winning tenders for international projects. This is clear proof that after receiving the necessary business training and mentorship, they can be competent and competitive.

e-Lancer (previously called Pal-Lancer) builds on this experience and provides freelancers of various disciplines (design, media, writing, programming, sales and many others) with opportunities to work with international clients abroad without the need for travel. This “borderless” model has proven to be successful for Palestinian youth in particular, who face the challenge of freedom of movement as well as the challenge of securing adequate employment in an economic context that is characterised by a lack of job opportunities.
