School and career dropout prevention

The organisation BAB-VIA is well-known in Geneva and the surrounding area for its work with teenagers and young adults. On the one hand, it provides temporary job placements (Boîte à Boulot or BAB) and on the other, it helps to reintegrate young people who have dropped out of school or vocational training (Vers l’Integration et l’Autonomie or VIA).
The school and career dropout prevention project supplements the two existing programmes. It supports young people who are about to leave their educational or career path. In addition to personalised coaching by the employees, it offers special career contracts and above all internships at local companies.
The aim of the project is to prevent 50 young people a year from taking an extended break from school or their career.
