Seenaryo Scene-changers: Employing youth and building their skills in classrooms

Seenaryo proposes to improve the mismatch between education and skills required by the labour market. It creates new pathways for 21st-century skills development in classrooms and sustainable employment in selected marginalised areas of Jordan (Irbid, Karak, East Amman) and Lebanon (Akkar, Bekaa, Beirut). To achieve this, 128 young adults aged 18 to 30 years undergo specialized upskilling over a period of 1.5 years thereby developing their leadership and facilitation skills; followed by 2.5 years of progressive hands-on classroom experience for 96 of them to become qualified facilitators. More than 20’000 youth aged 9 to 16 years from several governorates in both countries develop or enhance future skills in special classroom settings, which can lead to life-long learning and preparedness to pursue further economic opportunities. Moreover, the project aims to strengthen Seenaryo’s organisational capacity as a contributing knowledge partner in the ecosystem.
