She Farms

She Farms aims to enhance skills of young women in diversified agricultural practices, strengthen their role in the farming process, and increase household savings and overall income. It is a follow-up project to “Young women in agriculture” aiming to scale up the initiative to improve the livelihood and economic resilience of 450 households in Daraw, Edfu, West Aswan, and Kom-Ombo districts of Aswan governorate in Egypt. 360 kitchen gardens and 40 rooftop gardens will be newly established to generate income to the families impacting approximately 2’250 people. Participating women will gain access to business-related education packages as well as financial and nonfinancial support services to ensure sustainable social and economic impact.
