Social entrepreneurship – A sustainable development model

Social entrepreneurship is a popular economic model in Tunisia, especially among young people who wish to be actively involved in the economic development of their country. A key element in the success of such efforts is providing long-term support to social entrepreneurs before and while they set up their businesses. To help make this possible, the project develops and offers specific training to build on the competencies of the young social entrepreneurs and increase the chances that their businesses will succeed.
An incubation programme offers an innovative way to develop their leadership skills, strengthen their business plan, help them think about their strategy for growth and to create networks around common interests. In addition to being advised and guided, young entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to access start-up funds to help them get their businesses off the ground and make them sustainable in the long term.
This project promotes the creation of more than 300 jobs with the launch of 36 social enterprises while simultaneously tackling social and environmental problems.
