«Tariqi»: New Career Paths for Disadvantaged Youth

«Tariqi» pilots two interventions to promote vocational career paths as a viable alternative for young people and adolescents, through improving the employability of young people and helping adolescents prepare for making career choices.
30 young people participate in a 3-month introductory training programme in either digital marketing or culinary arts. They are coached and guided throughout the programme and develop a better understanding of job opportunities and the skills required in the two sectors.
30 adolescents participate in a 1-month rotational career lab programme where they gain insights into four fields of vocational work through 1-week internships.
Both programmes are supported by a public awareness campaign centering on vocational career options, and the income potential and employment stability of vocational jobs.
