Telling untold stories

‘BuSSy’, an Arabic slang word meaning ‘watch’, is a story-telling experience that transforms into theatrical performances, bringing to light issues of common concern to young, marginalised women and men in Egypt. The partner organisation works with five groups of young marginalised people, such as domestic workers, women who are victims of violence, former prisoners, people affected by HIV/AIDS and orphans, giving them a voice to share their personal experiences. BuSSy includes the participants in live theatre productions, enabling them to perform in front of the public and become agents of change within their local communities.
