Continuing from the pilot, this follow-up project aims to develop the life skills of young people and to professionalise artists through the establishment of the first performance-training programme for engaged street art in Lebanon. The programme is a curriculum geared towards training 18 artists in pedagogical, social therapy and offers specialised performance art courses to serve communities in remote areas of Lebanon.
Over 80 young people who previously only had limited access to participating in performing arts have the opportunity to engage in street performances. They are thus included in a participatory process to develop their mental, artistic and social abilities, thereby teaching them transferable skills and empowering them to be positive actors in their society, contributing to their personal development and to societal transformation.
