Supporting the Start-up Scene

Private sector businesses in Hebron Governorate are viewed as strong when compared to other cities in the West Bank, above all those in the manufacturing sector. Against this backdrop, measures to engage these companies in the entrepreneurship ecosystem can have a great impact, in particular if the private sector is persuaded to invest in new start-ups or at least make use of their services and/or purchase their products.

The MASADER project is aimed, on the one hand, at strengthening the capacities of entrepreneurs and, on the other, at establishing trust networks between the private sector and new start-ups. This is achieved through the creation of platforms that enable parties on both sides to come together and discuss business challenges. In the process, start-ups are given the opportunity both to assess the issues and challenges faced by these companies, and to suggest and develop corresponding solutions. This modality can make an optimal contribution to improving the socio-economic situation for entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship.
