Small Businesses to Enhance Livelihoods in Giza

Young people in three villages of the Giza governorate are being trained in enhancing their handicrafts skills for patchwork, leather and crochet with palm wood. The young people will use these locally available resources to produce new valuable products that will be sold on the market and increase their income and economic independence. Besides the vocational training and technical support for young people, small grants are offered to qualified candidates to support them in starting up small and micro projects. In parallel with this, a business development incubator provides support services to young people to help sustain their small businesses.
