The “Quillo Workshop” project is scaling its music theatre workshops from the Uckermark region to include three other rural regions in the German state of Brandenburg. Through partnerships with local educational institutions and cooperating artists, the offer is being established and firmly anchored in regional and practically-oriented networks. Workshop modules such as music, dance, singing, theatre, video, text, costume- or stage design open up a wide range of creative and expressive possibilities, so that young people with different needs and backgrounds can apply themselves in a participatory manner. Over the course of the project, each region creates its own contemporary music theatre production, which is also shown as a guest performance in the other participating regions.
The project is supported by the Brandenburg Plattform Kulturelle Bildung (Cultural Education Platform), which is joining forces with Quillo e.V. in the establishment of a joint coordination office. This will serve as an operational centre for scaling the music theatre workshops.
